# Perped

[Perped](/perped/introduction/readme.md) is a fully featured decentralized perpetuals platform that aims to bring real-world asset trading on-chain, including the complete list of **S\&P 500 Assets**, **Forex**, and **Commodities** using next-gen First-party Oracles.

The platform includes the following components:

1. **Trading Pairs**: The platform will provide trading pairs for users to trade perpetuals. The trading pairs will be limited to certain assets(platts/stocks), and the types of perpetual contracts that will be offered will be defined by the protocol itself.
2. **AMM (Automated Market Maker)**: Orders that will be submitted are executed by an Automated Market Maker. This AMM is dependent on a liquidity pool. Everyone is allowed to participate in the liquidity pool by depositing Perped(`$PRPD`) tokens, which will be used to track each user’s share in the pool.
3. **Smart Contracts**: The platform is backed by smart contracts. The smart contracts will define the code and logic for the platform, including how it interacts with the AMM and other components of the platform. The platform is going to be available on **Polygon ZK** and is expected to be deployed on **Optimism**, **Ethereum** Mainnet in the coming future.
4. **User Interface**: A user interface is provided to the users to interact with the platform and execute trades. The user interface will be designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, with clear options for viewing the current orders, placing orders along with swaps and monitoring positions for both long and short.
5. **Target Audience**: Crypto traders who are interested in trading real-world assets that aren't currently available on-chain.
6. **Roadmap**: *Perped's* direction and strategic priorities over time are mentioned below.
   * **Near-term offerings** - This includes broad index futures, currencies, and major commodities.
   * **Mid-term offerings** - This includes individual **S\&P 500 ticker trading**.
   * **Future** - *Perped* plans to trade any asset that has a demand on the blockchain.
